2月9日，威士忌杂志大奖组委会（The Whisky Magazine Awards）在肯塔基州路易斯维尔的布朗酒店举办颁奖仪式，宣布美国地区的杂志大奖（Icons of Whisky）和WWA（World Whiskies Awards）获奖酒款。

这代表着WWA世界威士忌大奖美国地区的各项最佳已经出炉，接下来它们将与来自苏格兰、爱尔兰、日本、加拿大和世界其他地区的各项最佳进行PK，以在３月份决出WWA的全球最佳。

当晚，还宣布了２位新入选威士忌杂志名人堂的新人：巴德斯顿波本公司（Bardstown Bourbon）的史蒂夫·纳利（Steve Nally）和圣乔治烈酒公司（George Spirits）的兰斯·温特斯（Lance Winters）。
